Christopher Nolan's film "Oppenheimer" won seven Oscars tonight in Los Angeles at the 96th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theater.
The film about the creator of the atomic bomb Robert Oppenheimer, which received rave reviews and received the most, 13 Oscar nominations, won seven awards, including best picture, best director, best actor and best supporting actor.
Emma Stone won the Oscar for best actress for her role in George Lanthimos' film "Poor Things," while actress Da'Vine Joy Randolph won the Oscar for best supporting actress for her role in "Winter Break," a comedy directed by Alexander Payne.
Protests were held in front of the Dolby Theater due to the Israeli war in Gaza, which disrupted traffic and slowed down the arrival of dignitaries on the red carpet.
Los Angeles police, who had expected protests, stepped up their presence and asked protesters to disperse as they would be detained. Demonstrators chanted slogans calling for a cease-fire in Gaza, and some of the Oscars' guests, including singer Billie Eilish, wore Gaza signs.
