The police prevented a physical confrontation between "Barbarians" and "Vojvoda", the infrastructure of the stadium was damaged

Police officers of the Podgorica Security Department are undertaking measures and actions in order to establish all the circumstances and facts of yesterday's incident at the Pod Goricam stadium, where the match between FK Budućnost and FK Sutjeska was played, and the public will be informed in a timely manner of the outcome of this action, the Police Directorate announced.
As they announced, police officers prevented a physical conflict between fan groups of the two teams, and material damage was noted at the stadium.

The end of the match at the city's main stadium was marked by scandalous and unreal scenes. Goalkeeper of Budućnost Đorđije Pavličić hit teammate Igor Ivanović, and then several "Barbarians" entered (or broke into) the dressing room and had a heated discussion with the players.

- In Podgorica yesterday, at the city stadium "Pod Gorica", a football match was played between FK Budućnost from Podgorica and FK Sutjeska from Nikšić, which was attended by members of the fan groups "Varvari" (Budućnost) and "Vojvode" (Sutjeska). During the match, they activated a large amount of pyrotechnic devices - the Police Administration announced.

After the match ended, there was a verbal conflict between a part of the fan group "Barvari" and the players of FK Budućnost, and a possible physical conflict, as reported by the police, was prevented by the timely reaction of police officers.

- On that occasion, part of the "Varvari" fan group damaged the infrastructure of the "Pod Goricam" stadium. Also, after the end of the match, there was a physical conflict between the players of FK Budućnost. The prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica is aware of the incident - said the Police Directorate.

As they point out, the members of the "Vojvode" fan group left Podgorica safely.
