Ćorić on Baby's death in Nikšić: We will determine after an autopsy finding

Representatives of the Ministry of Health visited Nikšić General Hospital (OB) in order to acquaint the Baby case in that health institution, the State Secretary of that government's Government Department said.

Ćorić, at the Journalists' Conference, organized on the occasion of the Medicine Fair, said that the General Director of the Quality Control of Health Protection Slobodan Mandic visited the Nikšić Hospital, in order to introduce himself to the case.

As she said, the Prosecution has already begun the procedure and therefore do not have the possibility of any reaction.

"Until an autopsy ends and does not end, we do not have the opportunity to say. Only what we remains is to wait for an autopsy finding and then determine that," said Coric.

She said that the health system is a very sensitive category, especially when it comes to babies.

"If it's a sudden heart death, these are the situation where you can't do anything," said Coric.

She pointed out that the situation in Nikšić was now further shaken by.

"We are waiting for an autopsy finding and we can't say anymore at this point, except to express mournful about everything," said Coric.

Asked if someone in the Niksic hospital was responsible for some earlier cases, Ćorić said that disciplinary commissions were initiated and that certain persons were sanctioned.

As she added, it was probably done by the quality control sector.

"We're all doing transparently, no one has intent to cover up anything," Choric said.

She appealed to the media to sometimes refrain from comments for very sensitive topics.

Ćorić stated that he knew that there was a failure, but to try all ways to sanction.

"I beg for patience in certain situations. We can get up, that we can return confidence in the health system, we try to suppress mistakes, but we find ourselves in a situation where we need to help each other," said Ćorić.
