Đukanović in Zagorič: We will enter the EU and have average salaries of 1,500 euros

On the eve of the second round of the presidential elections, the President of Montenegro Mountains spoke in the Podgorica settlement of Zagorič.

DPS's previous candidate said that the goal of any responsible policy is an improvement of the standard of living, and emphasized that this goal must be reached in a responsible way rather than manipulations and sowing illusions.

When Montenegro becomes an EU member, it is realistic that the average salary be 1,500 euros. We come to this by the realization of reforms and entering EU membership. This is realistic, everything else is dangerous to bring this country bankrupt. Such a policy that is now being guided, this country can hardly avoid bankruptcy by the end of 2023 - said Djukanovic.

He added that we must take care of one important fact, that as important as the height of the salary and pension was, it is not a complete standard of living. It is very important what the level of health service is, what is education ...

Djukanovic paid special attention to the position of retirement, which are most affected by inflation and added that their status must improve. He indicated that the pensions were minimally corrected or not at all.

One hundred and twenty thousand pensioners today have a much bigger problem than they had before this period - said Djukanovic.

He explained that by this leader of public finances, inflation is being created, which is the biggest of independence at the moment.

Today in Europe, inflation is 9 percent and in Montenegro 17.2! This inflation affects everything, but most drastic pensioners, the people who have worked out their life span, what they knew and knew that we would have the foundations of the state of Montenegro today. The pension used to be 57 percent of the average salary, and now it is 50 - said the president.
