Đukanović received the signatures for Lekić to be the mandate holder

Deputies of the parliamentary majority submitted today the signatures for the candidacy of Miodrag Lekić for the future mandate for the composition of the new Government. The signatures were delivered to the president of the country, Milo Đukanović.

The parliamentary majority proposed Miodrag Lekić in September.

"Recently, the Parliament of Montenegro adopted amendments to the Law on the President, which entered into force, i.e. they are part of the legal system, which created the prerequisites for the President of Montenegro to start repeated consultations for the designated mandate holders for the composition of the new Government," he states. is in a letter from one of the leaders of the Democratic Front, Andrije Mandić, which was delivered to President Milo Đikanović with the signatures of 41 members of the parliamentary majority.

Let us remind you that the law on the president, which was adopted by the pro-Serbian and pro-Russian majority, is unconstitutional. That law was assessed as unconstitutional by the Venice Commission and the European Union. From Brussels, they have repeatedly said that they will not recognize the Government that would be elected on the basis of that unconstitutional law, and they have also threatened to terminate the accession negotiations with Montenegro. However, it is obvious that this does not affect the positions of the Democratic Front, the Civic Movement URA and the Democrats, and it is obvious that they are working in the interests of Moscow and Belgrade, and that their main goal is to move Montenegro away from the European path and drown it in the Serbian world.
