Đukanović resigns from the post of DPS president

According to the agreement, Đukanović's decision will be made official at the Main Committee tomorrow, and according to information from the top of the DPS, the acting president of the DPS will be Danijel Živković, the current head of that party's caucus.
A session of the Main Board of the DPS is scheduled for tomorrow, where there will be more details about the organization of the Congress and the appearance of the DPS in the future extraordinary parliamentary elections scheduled for June 11.
Đukanović previously announced that after the presidential elections, he will step down from the leadership position in the party, and direct elections should be held within the DPS, in which way the new leadership of the party and the plan for the election campaign before the extraordinary parliamentary elections will be chosen.
Milo Đukanović has been the undisputed leader of the party since 1997 and the dissolution of the then single DPS, with brief interruptions.
