The Mayor of the Capital City of Cetinje, Nikola Đurašković, announced that he will not attend tomorrow's presentation of the Thirteenth of July Award at the Government House in Cetinje.
"Even though it is a grandiose national recognition in which the Montenegrin anti-fascist struggle, all our great victories and pride are woven, I cannot allow my presence to show respect to Andrija Mandić, who is presenting the award, and who has shown disrespect on several occasions and tried to humiliate Cetinje, the people of Cetinje and Montenegro. He who does not respect Cetinje deserves only contempt from me," Đurašković pointed out.
As a reminder, the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić will ceremoniously present the Thirteenth of July Award to the winners for 2024 on Friday.
The award will be given to writer Andrija Radulović, painter Branislav Banet Sekulić and doctor of theological sciences Nikola Marojević, as well as Dragan Koprivica, this year's winner of the Thirteenth of July Lifetime Achievement Award.
