Đuričković: Will MVP continue to keep his head in the sand

AUTHOR: M.J.
Will the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continue to keep its head in the sand in this case of damage to the international reputation of Montenegro and relations with Croatia - asked the international secretary of the Social Democrats, Miloš Đuričković, regarding the statement of Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anušić that due to the publicly expressed views of his Montenegrin colleague Dragan Krapović with it cancels previously arranged meetings.
Đuričković said that recently Prime Minister Milojko Spajić defended the absence of a reaction from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, due to the disruption of relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina by the fact that it is about MPs (he left out the President of the Assembly) over whom he has no control.
This is certainly not an excuse that he and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs do not deal with what is in their job description - Đuričković points out.
He adds that for less than two and a half months of this Government's work, the key messages sent by the official Podgorica to the region and the international community are that (1) the President of the Parliament of Montenegro is in the election headquarters of Vučić, (2) public officials from Montenegro are celebrating the unconstitutional day of the RS with a congratulation from the President of the Assembly and (3) Krapović's vision of regional powers and relations with Croatia
It is a picture that went to the region and the world from Montenegro. I again invite the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform us whether they have undertaken or plan to undertake activities regarding the protection of the international reputation of Montenegro and the current foreign policy course. If they haven't and don't plan to, they should inform the public about the new foreign policy being implemented - said Đuričković.
He believes that protocol visits to Brussels, pictures with EU officials and diplomats, and empty platitudes about commitment to EU integration cannot create a foreign policy, let alone defend against attacks.
