Živković: Milatović came to the mandate of president due to circumstances

Danijel Živković, acting president of the Democratic Party of Socialists, responded to the statements made by the president of the state, Jakov Milatović.
Any attempt to compare Milatović with Milo Đukanović, who is responsible for the existence of Montenegro as a country, is, to put it mildly, distasteful because he stepped into politics on the wings of the apostolic government and by a combination of circumstances came to the presidency, said Živković.
The country that today is called the "cancer-wound" of the Balkans cannot be more "democratic" than the one that became a member of NATO and that opened all negotiation chapters with the EU - said Živković, responding to Milatović's statement that the process of democratization in Montenegro in the last three years was higher than in the previous 30 years.
As he pointed out, Milatović's perception of himself does not correspond to reality or facts.
Any attempt to compare himself to Milo Đukanović, who is responsible for the existence of Montenegro as a country, is, to put it mildly, distasteful, because he entered politics on the wings of the apostolic government and by a combination of circumstances came to the mandate of president - wrote Živković in a post on Twitter.
He said that Milatović is the president of the country that regained its independence on May 21, 2006, at least by his merits.
Just today in Nikšić, his coalition partners retained the position of mayor of a man who does not recognize the state of which he is a public official. So much for democratization - Živković said in a Twitter post.
