The session of the Assembly continued today, after it was interrupted on March 13, at the request of the parliamentary club of Democratic Montenegro. The head of the Democrats parliamentary group, Momčilo Leković, then requested an interruption due to, as he said, the election of acting director of the Police Administration in an illegal manner.
the chairman of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Danijel Živković announced, at today's session of the Assembly, to its president Andrija Mandić, to call on the supporters of "For the Future of Šavnik" not to cause problems ahead of the session of the Municipal Assembly scheduled for today in that city.
We would like to remind you that according to the knowledge of Antena M, about fifty supporters of the coalition Za budućnost Šavnik broke into the premises of the local self-government in order to prevent the holding of the session of the Parliament of Šavnik, which was scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
We are aware that the supporters of your political entity gathered in Šavnik with the intention of preventing the Assembly session, which was duly convened, in order to eliminate the shortcomings, which was a request sent by the Government - said Živković, adding that ZBCG supporters invaded Assembly hall.
He called on the Government and the Police Directorate to react urgently.
It is obviously a new violent act and act, like Andrijevica. I am telling you now that we will have a serious problem in Šavnik - stated the president of DPS.
He emphasized that he would not like them to react and solve problems on the ground outside of state institutions, and Mandić said that he is obliged to tell his supporters not to cause problems.
He adds that the local municipal authorities announced to the Police Directorate that there could be problems today, but that they did not react in any way.
Mandić: The institutions are clearly not functioning
The President of the Assembly Andrija Mandić did not call on supporters, but "all citizens" not to cause problems. He said that it is an effect that has a cause, and that the first act was that people who did not have the right to vote were given that right.
The institutions are clearly not functioning at this moment, as they were not in the previous weeks either. If this continues, we will have the problem that the whole of Montenegro will become Šavnik, that elections cannot be held anywhere - said Mandić.
He noted that at this moment the institutions should be called to deal with their work.
Milatović: Marko Kovačević's characteristic cowardice
DPS MP Sonja Milatović said that Nikšić Municipality President Marko Kovačević filed charges against several DPS members because, as he said, they threatened his safety.
It seems that he was not only bothered by the views of the DPS deputies. Complaints were also filed against journalists and NGO activists. All this says that in Montenegro they want to intimidate oppositionists and stifle opposition speech. However, what I clearly want to say is that we were not hacked, that we stand behind our every word and that these reports are a reflection of political cowardice, something that is characteristic of him - stressed Milatović.
Her statement was followed up by the President of the Assembly Andrija Mandić, who said that Kovačević is a "good and honest man".
He is a great politician, who will make Montenegro and its people proud. You filed a whole series of reports against me, and I didn't comment on it. I assume that the prosecution will make a statement about his reports - said Mandić.
Laković: During the time of the DPS, the Administrative Court overturned the appointment of the UP director twice
PES deputy Miodrag Laković reacted to the allegations of DPS deputy Nermin Abdić, who said that it is scandalous that the Minister of Internal Affairs, Danilo Saranović, is announcing a criminal complaint against Prime Minister Milojko Spajić for the illegal election of the acting Police Administration Aleksandar Radović.
Laković emphasized that during the rule of the DPS in the period from 2005 to 2020, there were three directors of the UP, two of whom are currently charged with criminal offenses.
We remind you that in 2012 we had another director of UP, who was then covered by Božidar Vuksanović, where his appointment was overturned twice by the Administrative Court because it was illegal. Lawyers and the opposition then assessed that the fact that the court overturned the government's decision twice speaks of the absence of the rule of law, as well as that behind everything is politics, that is, the struggle within the ruling DPS and SDP for control over the police and the internal affairs sector - reminded Laković.
He then addressed the DPS MPs, stressing that "it is not the level of the strongest opposition party to comment on journalistic captions and other people's comments".
The DPS was particularly upset that the Minister of Tourism, Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North, Vladimir Martinović, was not in the parliament, on the eve of the next summer tourist season, on which the state's income depends.
We cannot see the minister here for months. Allow us at least a control hearing regarding the alarming situation ahead of the season - said DPS MP Nikola Rakočević.
The Democrats announced that Martinović is at the opening of the Jezerine - Lubnica road.

DPS MP Jevto Eraković said that the President of the Assembly Andrija Mandić organized supporters to break into the building of the SO Savnik, as well as preventing the holding of the SO in Andrijevica.
We can push problems under the carpet, but apparently the agenda is being implemented slowly but purposefully. Your position and goal have been clear to me since the day you advocated for Montenegro not to be an independent country. That is your true foundation and I respect that, also other colleagues from the parliamentary majority who do not have that sign in their sign like your party and I understand them from some other angle who support that agent of yours. I don't understand PES that they silently support everything that you are implementing these days by following your agenda day by day - said Eraković.
Eraković told Andrija Mandić that, as he said, if he had even a little political dignity, he would withdraw his supporters from the SO Savnik.
Mandić announced that when the session is over, he will invite people from Šavnik to see what it is all about.
