It is shown that this problem requires wider action, because despite the increased presence of the traffic police on road routes, preventive activities, increased controls of road users, as well as numerous appeals, there are alarming data on the constant increase in human losses on the roads - they stated in the announcement. .
The police administration points to the importance of the synergy of all sectors - security, traffic, health, education, non-governmental and media - in order to develop a different traffic culture, but also to strengthen the system that would compensate for human vulnerability and tendency to make mistakes.
The leading cause of traffic accidents with fatal consequences is inappropriate speed, and behind this are various influences of the use of alcohol and psychoactive substances, then fatigue and stress, but other reasons for the lack of adequate concentration. Therefore, the efforts of various actors in the direction of strengthening citizens' awareness of the dangers of inappropriate and fast driving are crucially important, in order to contribute to the personal safety, as well as the safety of other road users - said the UP.
The police administration appeals to citizens to drive conscientiously and responsibly, one moment of inattention or misjudgment of one's own abilities in traffic can lead to tragic consequences.
Also, we invite all other actors to jointly contribute to the understanding of the importance of following traffic rules, and therefore to save lives in traffic - concludes the UP.
