Adžić is silent

Menacing messages to "newcomers from abroad", as the Montenegrin diaspora is called by the NGO Alternativa, that they will "wait for them at the airport", which was told by a certain Mišo Sekulović from the right-wing organization "Tvrdoš", adding that their stay in Montenegro "will make it unforgettable". , competent institutions, according to available information, did not consider. And there are hundreds of them on social networks.

Yesterday, we tried to get a comment from the outgoing Minister of the Interior, Filip Adžić, regarding these and other threats to which the diaspora has been exposed in recent days, as well as an answer to the question of what the department he heads will do to ensure the safe stay of our emigrants in Montenegro, however, he he did not answer our calls.

Ahead of the second round of presidential elections on April 2, the Montenegrin diaspora is the target of increasingly brutal attempts at intimidation and threats sent to them via social networks in the previous days, from officials of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora, the Government, and even from an NGO.

Acting Assistant Director of the Administration for Cooperation with the Diaspora, Arben Jakupi, assessed three days ago that the invitation to the diaspora to vote in the presidential elections was an abuse.

Then the non-governmental organization Alternativa Crna Gora announced that it would "readily welcome" all those who come from the diaspora on extraordinary flights to vote in the second round of the presidential elections and engage the competent state authorities to check which of the "newcomers from abroad" have dual citizenships and that will initiate a procedure against anyone in order to comply with the law and revoke one of the illegally acquired citizenships.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs joined the persecution of our diaspora, which sent a letter to diplomatic and consular missions abroad, warning them that any organizing and helping the diaspora to come and vote in the elections on April 2 will be severely punished.

However, although they are aware of the obstruction of the institutions of the home country, and despite the threats, several Montenegrin associations abroad said that, regardless of everything, they will organize their arrival in Montenegro.

The Montenegrin diaspora from Hanover issued a statement yesterday with the message that their "ancestors defended Montenegro in 1918 and 1941, won the battles on Mojkovac, Igman, Neretva and Sutjeska", and that "the current 'elite' came to power on the red carpet which was built by the government of Milo Đukanović with modern airports, modern ports, an independent and internationally recognized Montenegro".

- The same "elite" or demolition team that has been ruling Montenegro for almost three years has left a desolation unlike any modern civilization remembers - the statement of the Montenegrin diaspora from Hanover concludes.

The associations of Montenegrins from Kosovo "Lovćen" and "Perper" reacted by inviting our emigrants to come to Montenegro in as many numbers as possible and vote for the presidential candidate Milo Đukanović on April 2.

- Đukanović is the only guarantor that he will preserve Montenegro as independent and independent and that the country will remain multi-ethnic and civil. Only the victory of Đukanović guarantees the stability of the region - it was stated in the press release of the association "Lovćen" and "Perper".

The arrival in Montenegro was announced in the previous days by several associations of our diaspora.

Yesterday, the Democratic Party of Socialists appealed to Adžić, as well as the Director of the Police Administration Zoran Brđanin and representatives of the judiciary to urgently process the threats addressed to the Montenegrin diaspora via social networks.

- Nationalists and chauvinists who these days are doing everything to support their candidate Jakov Milatović must know that they must not even think of causing any incidents before, during and after election day. The responsible institutions must know that they are obliged to ensure the constitutional rights of all Montenegrin citizens, and we will see any further attempt to intimidate our diaspora as their responsibility - states from the DPS.

Damjanović called on the diaspora to support the future of Montenegro

The vice-president of DPS, former Minister of Science Sanja Damjanović, yesterday called on the diaspora to stand by European Montenegro and support its future.

- As a member of the Montenegrin diaspora, I call on our emigration around the world to stand by European Montenegro and support its future, to return it to the European track and build new necessary bridges of culture, science and economy, thereby making a significant joint contribution to the accelerated development of our European Montenegro and its joining the EU family - wrote Damjanović on Twitter.
