ATTITUDE: Gordian knot of the Montenegrin political scene

Of course, extraordinary parliamentary elections await us on June 11. In addition to the fact that extraordinary events will be specific in many ways, primarily because Milo Đukanović, the outgoing president of Montenegro and former leader of DPS, will not be on them. And not only will there be no Đukanović, but the Montenegrin sovereignist party and coalition in these elections will not have a single representative on their lists, who has some kind of mortgage from the past. Citizens will not see either Duško Marković or Branimir Gvozdenović on the lists, neither Predrag Bošković nor Petar Ivanović. Draginja Vuksanović Stanković, Raško Konjević, Damir Šehović, Ivan Brajović and many others who marked the political scene of Montenegro in the past three decades will not be on the sovereignist lists either. Maybe this is something the citizens expected, maybe this should have happened earlier. even before 2020. It remains to be seen how the citizens will react to young, new names, full of political élan, ideas and readiness to tackle the accumulated problems, which burden the state and society. For the first time, the Europe Sad movement, whose candidate is Jakov Milatović, the newly elected president, will try his hand at the parliamentary elections. A movement known for the fact that its leaders were ministers in the Apostolic Government established by the late Serbian Metropolitan Amfilohi. Known for being the direct perpetrators of police terror against Montenegrins in Belvedere, Cetinje, and Nikšić. They are responsible for putting the interests of the Church of Serbia before the interests of the people and the state, so their leader, the newly elected head of state, for the work of enthronement of the unworthy Joaniki, did not regret killing a Montenegrin. They are known for bringing the Montenegrin economy to its knees with illegal debt, unrealistic increases in the minimum wage, and the removal of levies from wages, and the health system collapsed to its foundations. The Party of Justice and Reconciliation, known for its glorification of the Wahhabi Islamic extremist movement, and advocates of the independent Sandžak will form a coalition with them. The specificity of these elections is the disintegration of the fascist pro-Serbian and pro-Russian Democratic Front, whose leaders are convicted terrorists and advocates of the disappearance of Montenegro and all other nations except the Serbs. Supporters of Russian politics, lovers of Putin glorify the aggression against Ukraine and the suffering of Ukrainians, just as they glorify Serbian villains and convicted criminals and fascists and call for new massacres of the non-Serb population in the Balkans. What characterizes this already former alliance is the fact that their lists will contain exclusively old cadres who are already politically worn out, as best shown by the results of the previous local and presidential elections in which DF recorded a drastic drop in citizens' trust. The specificity is also the official coalition of the Democrats and URA. Those who spat on each other until yesterday. Endured inappropriate qualifications and mutual insults. But fear of the reality that they would not pass the census by performing independently, they forgot everything they said about each other and joined hands in that unprincipled coalition of dubious characters, capabilities and honesty.
Some new parties from both political spectrums will also appear. Although one would say numerically enough leaves, unfortunately the quantity does not match the quality. The fact is that the political offer to the citizens is thin, if not desperate. I can only say one thing to my Montenegrins - I will participate in mourning for the next four years.
