Boris: With God's help, there will be more and more parishes of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church

AUTHOR: M.J.
During these 10 months, the work of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church was unblocked, the work of the Holy Synod was renewed, in which, according to the old tradition, the most distinguished priests from the Principality of Montenegro were elected - said Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro Boris, who was elected to the throne of the Church last year - People's Assembly of Montenegro.
"The number of clergy and monks has increased. The large number of believers who come to worship services is an indication that our clergy is dedicated to serving God and the people. We have established parishes in our diaspora," said the head of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church in an interview for the Croatian portal of the Croatian Cultural Council (hkv.hr).
"From what has been done, above all, we single out the canonization for the saint of our restorer, Metropolitan Anthony".
"I can say that Montenegrins have the hardest time in Montenegro, and that everyone has solved their national and religious issue, except for us Orthodox Montenegrins."
Speaking about the establishment of new parishes in Montenegro, Boris says "there will be more and more of them".
"We work slowly, with God's help, spreading love and the Christian spirit, where all people of good will are welcome".
"The Montenegrin Orthodox Church now has a Metropolitan, two bishops and a retired metropolitan, 21 priests and deacons in Montenegro and the diaspora. We currently have three candidates for priests".
