The Center for Democratic Transition (CDT) called on the competent prosecutor's office to respond to the removal of scandalous frescoes in the Ružica Orthodox Church in Rožaje, which was completely renovated in 2021.
The frescoes show people in Bosniak and Turkish costumes, participating in the burning of the church and standing with knives over the baby's cradle. In all likelihood, people in partisan uniforms are depicted as well.
The fresco of the church in Rožaje is an example of inciting religious and national hatred. We call on the competent prosecutor's office not to turn a blind eye to actions that can have serious consequences for the common life of the citizens of Rožaj and Montenegro - it was stated in the CDT's Twitter post.
