Centenary of the deaths of the Montenegrin Komit in Rubes near Nikšić

Today, the mention of Montenegrin regimens, which were liquidated in Rubes near Nikšić, was held at the Nikšić cemetery. Today is the centenary from their deaths.

They were killed in a brutal manner by the Serbian army and a gendarmerie under the command of the Serbian Gendarmer's Captain and the commander of the Nikšić Gendarmerie Milan Kalabić.

And the Montenegrin Orthodox Church (CPC), in addition to others gathered, paid their respects.

Responsible for their murder are considered, in addition to the perpetrator, the Sremska Chief Živko Kosović and Veliki Župan Milovan Džaković. According to available sources from the press, literature and testimony of contemporaries, the Komits were defended by the heroically against the far superior enemy.

In these struggles were killed by Komiti: Savo Bašović, Petar Zvicer, Marko Kovacevic, Majo (Mado) Vujović, Jovo Krivovic, Andrew Pejovic, Miloš Pejović and Radovan Bigović. In certain sources, Majo (Mado) Vujović was then not killed, but that he was in the group, and that he managed to be saved. Majo (Mado), according to certain sources, killed on January 25, 1925 at Ožegovica. In some sources, he is stated that he was killed on September 2, 1925. In the balls, near Bileća.
