CGO: The Ministry of Education to deal with its job and sanction Gacevic

The Civil Education Center (CGO) invited the Ministry of Education and the competent minister to urgently, through its representatives in the school committee of the Elementary School "Štampar Makarija", raised the issue of the responsibility of the director of that institution of Novica Gacevic, who acted beyond the jurisdiction.

Director Gacevic, violating the regulations - without the opinion of the pedagogical -psychological service, without the opinion of the Teachers' Council, without the approval of the Institute for Education and the Ministry - allowed the students of the class IX grade and the institution to be distributed by a questionnaire of controversial methodology and discriminatory contents. This is also given to the weight and given the sensitivity of the students of students to place such a survey - they said in this organization.

CGO is well aware of the demanding procedures that must be respected in order for a program, survey or other aspect of activity to be implemented with students in teaching, which, they say in NGO, was not the case with this poll at the Makarija Štampar Elementary School.

CGO expects representatives of the Ministry in the School Board of the Elementary School "Štampar Makarija" to represent the interests of the Ministry, the representatives of the parents of the interest of all children and to jointly sanction the irresponsible treatment of the director of this institution - they say in NGO.
