The EU Ambassador in Montenegro Kristina Popa, in response to Dritan Abazovic ITEMS, which has been escaping the director of CCE Daliborka Uljarević "should be respected, protecting and entering freely without unnecessary political and media pressures."

Popa warns and the autonomy of the prosecution, deprived of inappropriate influences, a key element of the rule of law.

Civil society should be respected, protecting and entering freely without unnecessary political and media pressures. We expect the authorities to create an environment suitable for the constructive involvement of civil society organizations in policy making. Instead of engaging in sharply speaking public criticism and charges of representatives of civil society, the competent domestic bodies should address all alleged violations of the law, in accordance with national legislation and relevant international and European standards.

The EU also repeats that providing complete autonomy of the prosecution, without inappropriate influences, the key element of the rule of law, which is essential for Montenegro's progress on the road to the EU.
