Commemoration started on July 13 in Cetinje

With the laying of a wreath on the memorial ossuary, the celebration of July 13, the Day of Montenegrin Statehood and the Day of the Uprising of the Montenegrin People, began this morning in Cetinje.
The wreath was laid by the Deputy Mayor of the Capital City of Cetinje, Miloš Mudreša, the President of the Capital City Assembly, Milena Vujačić, and the Vice President of the Union of Associations of Fighters of the National Liberation War and Anti-Fascists of Montenegro, Stevan Radunović.
Representatives of SUBNOR of Montenegro and representatives of veteran and anti-fascist associations of Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia laid a wreath at the monument erected in memory of the patriots and victims of fascism from the Cetinje area who died in the period from 1941 to 1945. .
After the wreath-laying ceremony, a formal reception was held for the delegation of SUBNOR of Montenegro and the Association of Former Yugoslav Republics in the Capital of Cetinje.
The Deputy Mayor of Prijestonica, Miloš Mudreša, expressed his satisfaction with the visit of members of these organizations, especially on a date that symbolizes timeless and universal values that, as he stated, "oblige us to deal responsibly with current challenges and temptations, with the task and obligation of all to contribute together overall development and prosperity of civil, free, anti-fascist and European Montenegro".
The representatives of SUBNOR thanked for the reception and organization of the solemn celebration of the Statehood Day, expressing their satisfaction that this event will take place in the Montenegrin capital.
The official celebration of July 13, the Statehood Day of Montenegro, organized by the Capital City of Cetinje and SUBNORA, will be held tonight on the Summer Stage, starting at 8 p.m. Podgorica's KIC POP HOR performs with anti-fascist songs and Sergej Ćetković.
