COMMENT: Godfather burned your bag

The problems in the Montenegrin Orthodox Church arise at the moment when a certain Duško Glendža and his cronies come to the head of the Cetinje board, who completely takes control of the current Metropolitan Mihail. And it hasn't been going on since yesterday, but years ago. To make sure there is no confusion, the responsibility for the situation and everything that happened, which should not have been, lies precisely with Metropolitan Mihail, while Glendža only used the opportunity to collapse the Montenegrin Orthodox Church with him. But let's start in order. Metropolitan Mihailo was elected the principle of the CPC at the all-Montenegrin assembly after the death of the blessed Metropolitan Antoni. From the very start, it was clear that he would not be able to match his predecessor either in work or in charisma. His statements have not been forgotten, especially the interview for the Italian El Popolo from 1992, in which he turned in the most brutal way precisely on the CPC, which he would become the head of a few years later. Those around him said that he thought for a long time whether to join the CPC or to opt for the SPC. After all that we are witnessing these days, it is more than clear that he decided for the SPC, and that he came to the CPC with a clear task, to completely collapse it and reduce it to the lowest possible level. And we have to admit to him from the start, he is doing well. There are fewer and fewer believers at services, and more and more those who do not want to come precisely because of him, and they make it clear. But that's not all! The key problem probably lies in financial malfeasance. It's no secret that numerous organizations, individuals, and the diaspora have donated a lot of money to the CPC. That money was intended to strengthen the CPC, build temples, and pay for basic necessities. It is about hundreds of thousands of euros, for which today it is not possible to determine where and how they were spent. And in order to support this story, we will cite just one example. One of our emigrants from the United States of America visited Montenegro a few months ago, and on that occasion in Cetinje he met with Metropolitan Mihail and the president of the Cetinje church board, Duško Glendža, and several other people. The emigrant wanted to try to get answers to his doubts and documented facts about the inappropriate spending of money, which he has. Months in advance, our emigrant pointed out this problem to certain civilian figures at the top of the church. He even sent the documents he had to some. They remained speechless. But let's go back to the meeting in Cetinje. Our expatriate asks the Bishop about the 120,000 euros in one tranche and 80,000 in the second tranche, which the expatriates collected and sent to Metropolitan Mihail in Cetinje, and where is that documentation? Also, our expat asks if that documentation still exists or has it been destroyed? That it was destroyed and burned is confirmed by Duško Glendža, who said on that occasion that he himself witnessed the act. For this there are several witnesses who attended that meeting. On that occasion, Metropolitan Mihailo pretended to be a non-must and constantly shifted the flow of the conversation to other topics. He admitted, however, that the money was sent. Let us state that this money was sent almost 18 years ago and that at that moment Bishop Boris was not in the structures in the church that decided and knew about these funds, since today Metropolitan Mihailo i Glendža, as well as the leaders of some committees like the one in Kotor, are trying to unjustly dragged into this dirty work. The emigrant was also shocked by the fact that the Metropolitan was being looked after by a certain female person with dubious moral characteristics. To tell the truth, the situation was similar before when a certain godfather Mitropolitov and his wife took care of him, and on that occasion they behaved and acted dishonorably. There are witnesses to all this, but unlike Metropolitan Mihail, who at the age of 86 started writing books with shameful and unworthy content, we have a shred of dignity, so we will not present those spicy details here. But we are going to ask how much more money did Metropolitan Mihailo embezzle with the Jataki? What about the money provided for the construction of the tomb for the blessed Metropolitan Antonio? Why hasn't Mihailo allowed that tomb to be finished and the remains transferred to Cetinje? Why is he asking for money for that job today, when the funds have long been secured? Why did he destroy the chapel of Metropolitan Antoni, where the first service was held? When will Metropolitan Mihailo clarify the cooperation and documented meetings with agents of the Russian GRU? When will they explain the engagement of the priest who came from the United States, and who stayed in that country through the SPC and Serbian Fraternal Aid? There are many questions, and from Mihail and Glendža we get not answers, but false accusations, constructions, manipulations, and they do not have a single proof. And one of the key questions is how it is possible for Metropolitan Mihailo to have people like Duško Glendća, one of the closest associate of Svetozar Marović and the Škaljar clan, whose immediate family members are supporters of the URA and the Europe Sad Movement, and the son is the godfather of brother Jakov Milatović? Which is why Mihailo allows the confrontations and threats that Duško Glendža carries out against the most loyal members of the CPC, and addresses top intellectuals in the most primitive way, who draw attention to the inactions carried out by Mihajlo and Glendža. Why didn't Mihailo deal with the issue of the illegally signed so-called Basic Agreement with the SPC, but instead deals with intrigues and swindling Montenegrins?
That's why there is no dilemma where to be on September 3, and those who think that we should wait a little longer must know that their intentions have been violated and tell them that the all-Montenegrin assembly should have been held a long time ago.
