Discrimination against women for Jelic just propaganda?!

Author: M.J.

The Art Director of the Niksic Theater Janko Jelic did not give consent to play the play "Exposed", which in the production of Bunt scene directed by Sandra Vujović. This play, which has been performed several times throughout Montenegro, deals with the topic of gender equality and violence against women.

In the letter sent by the Bunt scene, it is pointed out that he does not find the "no reasonable reason to stretch out the inventory theme on women's disfalcling and how women discriminate, exploit and humiliates."

I am a married, I have a living mother, my neighborhood lives, and married my brother, and I know the neighbors, I know of the gods and acquaintances ... I did not notice the discrimination against women, Even on the contrary, I think women discriminate - Jelic said.

He is bored of "Terror Stories about Discrimination against Women." He said, aware that there are people who harass women, but is also aware that there are other forms of discrimination that is not less likely to exist, but are in public life completely neglected.

That is why my little thing does not give consent to play your play because I think that is the type of propaganda, and not any art. Knowing that you will not be the right to give you the right to inform this message in public and that is why I agree to me personally, because this is exclusively my personal attitude and decision by any other Niksic Theater-wrote.

From the "At the Right Time" platform, which in addition to the independent theater scene, the Bunt includes more NGOs, noticing the presentation of the show "Exposed", Jelic shows disrespect for all women who lost their lives due to partnership or domestic violence. Also, as they added from the platform, Jelic shows disrespectful and to women who suffered or suffered by violence, and women who suffer discrimination and in the final and towards artwork and need to talk openly about these problems.

They note that in Montenegro in the period from 2020 to 2022, five fematicides were committed.

Instead of encouraging dialogue and awareness, Jelic because he is in position of power, restricts freedom of expression and denies the reality with many women every day, and activities of this type call propaganda. We invite the artistic community and the general public to oppose this approach and support the art that branches the social norms and injustices - they said from the "At the Right Time" platform.

This, as emphasizes, is not just limiting freedom of expression, but also undermining efforts to combat gender-based violence and injustice.
