DPS: Immediate party elections on January 28, proud to introduce new standards on the political scene

The presidency of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) adopted a decision defining the date of the elections, where the president and vice-presidents of the party will be elected, to be January 28 of the following year, the party announced.
The DPS Presidency, as stated, at today's session, adopted the proposal for a Decision on the rules, criteria and method of conducting direct elections, which will be submitted to the Main Board for decision.
At the session, satisfaction was noted that the Democratic Party of Socialists continues to introduce new standards on the political scene of Montenegro, since for the first time all members of a political party will have the right to vote and participate in this way in the election of the party leadership - said the party.
It is added that the session stated that it is necessary to continue with the party renewal of the party at the local level, and according to the decision, it is planned that the immediate party elections at the local level will be held in the spring of the following year.
Finally, after the elections, the organization of the Congress will follow, which will give the Democratic Party of Socialists a new composition of the Main Board and thus round off the reform process started at the previous, extraordinary 9th Congress - the DPS stated.
