DPS: Nationalist politics in Pljevlja will collapse

SOURCE: POBJEDA / M.J.
Nationalist politics in Pljevlja will collapse, it was announced from the forum of the Democratic Party of Soviets (DPS) held in Pljevlja as part of the campaign for internal parties.
DPS vice-president candidate Abaz Dizdarević said that the city of Pljevlja has a deep historical tradition when talking about historical legacy.
As reported by the DPS, Dizdarević pointed out that there has been a kind of social regression in Montenegro.
From the paradigm of a multicultural society, we have arrived at these tirades from city squares where hostility towards our neighbors is spread. I have a problem with those songs that melt the hearts of the neighbors, which you could hear the previous nights, but which we listen to almost every day - said Dizdarević.
He said that he was surprised that the president of the state, Jakov Milatović, and the prime minister, Milojko Spajić, were silent about the event in Pljevlja, where, as he said, Chetnik songs were sung from the city square.
Milatović and Spajić probably think that if they close their eyes hard enough, none of those songs will be heard here in Pljevlja. They propagate civil politics, and we see nationalist tirades in squares all over the country - said Dizdarević.
Dušan Raičević, who addressed the candidate for the vice president of DPS, said that Pljevlja rests on respect for diversity, and that everyone in Montenegro should be proud of that fact.
We have to fight against the retrograde currents, which "dared" to replace the state symbols with tricolors, representing them with their own flags, which I guess we should bow down to - said Raičević.
The candidate for vice president, Elvir Zvrko, said that it was a special challenge and responsibility for him to speak in front of the people of Pljevlja, whom he assessed as people with innate wisdom and instinct to make good political and life choices.
What particularly pleases me is the persistence of DPS in defending what are our goals and values that we stand for. You know very well what you went through from the nineties until now. But the strength of DPS lies in the fact that we have survived despite the hopes of our political competition that we will disappear - added Zvrko.
He pointed out that only the DPS has the strength to return the country to the right path and that, as a party, must return to power as soon as possible, because as he said, only the DPS is the guarantor of the survival of Montenegro.
