DPS Pljevlja requests a check: Public kitchen and betting cannot be under the same roof

The Pljeval committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists recently expressed doubts about the legality of the operation of the "People's Kitchen" in that city, which exists as part of the non-governmental organization of the same name. They say that he is engaged in activities that are incompatible with the "National Kitchen", but that organization denies their suspicions and calls on the authorities to carry out any checks.

Games of chance and the provision of catering services are incompatible with folk cuisine, according to the Pljeval committee of DPS.

That is why, a few days ago, at the Municipal Assembly, they questioned the Decision on giving real estate to the non-governmental organization "Narodna kuhinja Pljevlja" for free.

Downstairs, drinks are served for a fee, here is the price list, so commercial income is also generated and in the middle of the space that we are giving away today, there is a gambling machine - warned DPS councilor Saša Ječmenica.

The decision was adopted by the votes of the members present in the parliamentary majority, and the "National Kitchen" rejects all accusations.

We are registered, you could see the solutions, we are registered in the register of business entities. The National Kitchen coffee bar is also registered, everything is transparent. Here you can see how the National Kitchen works, all the people sitting get a fiscal bill for each drink. Nothing can be served without a bill - said the manager of the National Kitchen, Milan Potpara.

Potpara says that the coffee bar was opened with the aim of providing additional funds for the work of the National Kitchen because, apart from Rudnik, the Municipality and a few citizens, donations from other entities were missing.

The restaurant and cafe bar "Narodna kuhinja" was opened under the auspices of the National Kitchen. Let all the authorities come and check the business. Anyone can record, make remarks, but it would be more correct if they want to engage in semi-professional journalism and with a camera, it is better for them to go to the coast, record pop stars or actors... I think that they will gain more popularity than what they are doing with these trivial things - said Potpara.

Despite the promise, TVCG did not receive the views of the President of the Assembly and the President of the Municipality, and the betting machine was removed until a signed contract was received from the concessionaire.
