The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) submitted to the State Election Commission the candidacy for the presidential elections of the current president of the state and that party, Milo Đukanović.
The State Election Commission will issue a statement on the candidacy proposal within 48 hours.
The decision on the candidacy of Đukanović in the upcoming presidential elections was made last night by the Main Committee of the DPS.
Previously, all municipal committees of the party proposed Đukanović as a candidate.
The presidential elections will be held on March 19, and the candidacies have so far been confirmed for the leader of the New Serbian Democracy, Andrija Mandić, and the deputy of the Social Democratic Party, Draginja Vuksanović-Stanković.
