The European Parliament (EP) has definitely put an end to the story of the Open Balkans, said SD President Dr. Damir Šehović.
"It is obvious that, just like us, they are aware that behind the mentioned initiative lies the idea of a closed, essentially isolated region, which would serve only the advocates of big-state policies in the Balkans," Šehović wrote.
He commented on the recommendations on the New Enlargement Strategy, which were adopted by the members of the EP, and in which they expressed concern about the persistent political crisis in Montenegro.
"I would not be surprised if, after adopting such recommendations on the New Enlargement Strategy, our Government and 502 MEPs, who voted for the adoption of this document, would be characterized as extremists and obstacles to our European path," Šehović concluded.
