Eskobar: Montenegro Good candidate for the EU, we are excited about the partnership with the new Prime Minister

The US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Eskobar, said the United States was very satisfied with the current relations with Montenegro.

We have very, very close relationships. Montenegro has shown not only as a reliable ally in NATO, but also as a good state candidate for membership in the European Union. We are extremely excited about the level of the partnership we expect with the new president and the new premiere - the Escobor for RSE.

As he said, the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, was well received in New York and left a very positive impression on everything he communicated from the US government.

And we all agreed in every statement, in each statement, it agreed that the currently the biggest challenge for the European security is none caused by the aggression in Ukraine. Yesterday at the A5 Group's work breaks, we issued a declaration on the need to support Ukraine against Russian aggression. So in the context of all this, I think all our Balkan interlocutors, all our Montenegrin interlocutors understand that now is not the time to give Russia to mix the mixing platform in the Western Balkans.
