EU diplomats will discuss tensions in the Western Balkans

At the meeting tomorrow, the ministers of foreign affairs of the European Union (EU) will pay special attention to the current tensions between Belgrade and Pristina, the political situation in Montenegro and the prospects for Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was announced on the EU website.
The ministers will exchange opinions on the Western Balkans, including the impact of the war in Ukraine and the EU's response in this regard, Radio Free Europe reports.
At the meeting in Brussels, the engagement of the EU in the region will be reviewed since the last discussion in May, and issues such as the alignment of the Western Balkans with the Union's common foreign and security policy, EU assistance in this area and the current energy crisis will be discussed.
The meeting of the EU Council for Foreign Affairs will be chaired by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Policy and Security Žosep Borelj.
The ministers will also discuss other issues such as the war in Ukraine, the situation in Lebanon and climate change.
A meeting of defense ministers is planned for Tuesday, and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov are expected to participate in the talks via video link.
