FBI report on cyber attacks Secrets

Publishing details of the report on cyber attacks on government systems, which provided the American Federal Bureau (FBI) to Montenegrin institutions in January this year could weaken the security of the information systems, the RTCG Department of the Ministry of Public Administration (MPU).

The report contained technical details and acquainting them with them could weaken our systems, as there would be sufficient information on the structure of government infrastructure and networks of state bodies, as well as the security levels of the safety. They said from Me.

They emphasize that the public about these events was familiar with continuity.

To the extent, we are, and in the period, which, informed the public, as well as for the duration of the attack itself. We continued all our knowledge continuously, which did not endanger the cyber resistance of our systems - stated from the Ministry of Public Administration.

They explained that the report from the authors, classified in a way that it can only be used for the purpose of strengthening cyber resistance of government infrastructure.

We do not have authorization by partners to make the report public - it is announced from the MPU.

We reminded, cyber attacks on government institutions began on August 22 last year since the site and empowerment of almost all ministries and institutions was prevented. The blockade was electronic communication of prosecutor's offices, courts, cadastre, administration of income and customs and other institutions.

On January 11, they said from the Police Directorate, they presented the American investigators "report on the analysis of cyber attacks in Montenegro". At that time, they said that the report was "made on the basis of a significant volume of collected data through the MPU network and data movement from different systems."
