The head of the Islamic community in Montenegro, Rifat ef. Fejzić, said that he hopes that the neighbors will speak up and condemn the painting of terrifying frescoes in the Ruzica Orthodox Church in Rožaje, which was completely renovated in 2021.
The frescoes show people in Bosniak and Turkish costumes, participating in the burning of the church and standing with knives over the baby's cradle. In all likelihood, people in partisan uniforms are depicted as well.
Fejszić said on Twitter that he does not know why the opinion of the Islamic community is being sought and what they are being called for statements.
I think that this should be explained by others, I hope that our neighbors will come forward and condemn this. I would just send a message to the state and politicians who persistently "pacify" us, please don't "pacify" us like this again - said Fejzić on Twitter.
