Exactly 18 years ago, the citizens of Montenegro, in a historic referendum, restored the national independence lost in 1918 by the Serbian occupation and violent annexation to the Kingdom of SHS. For 18 years, the citizens of Montenegro have been living the benefits that they create and decide for themselves. Although in the last 4 years, Montenegro has again gone astray, I am sure that its citizens, like every time throughout history, will know and be able to defend the values and achievements of May 21, 2006, which have been honored since the fateful August 30, 2020. She shone that May 21, 18 years ago, the brightest May dawn, will shine even brighter soon when the citizens send the culprits of the Montenegrin four-year revolution, where they belong, to the dustbin of history.
I hereby wish all Montenegrin men and women and all other citizens of our homeland a happy Independence Day in the hope that after 4 years we will welcome the next in a free Montenegro again and freed from the traitors and its executioners in power.
