HGI will not come into power at any cost, we will not deviate from our principles

President of the Croatian Civic Initiative and holder of the "HGI - On the Right Side of the World" list, Adrijan Vuksanović expressed the view that HGI will not enter power at any cost and that, as far as he is concerned, there can be no moratorium on value issues.
In the recent past, HGI has shown the same principles when it abandoned the so-called the minority government of Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, which was a kind of precedent on the Montenegrin political scene - said Vuksanović.
Regarding the results of the pre-election lists that won the largest number of votes, Vuksanović said that the Europe Now Movement (PES) came on the wave of a kind of dissatisfaction, that is, a great saturation of citizens with political issues.
He noted that "a dominant thought is being created that economics can solve everything, which he believes is not true, because - economic measures are preceded by political, and actually value decisions."
We need some time to see what the ideological content of the Europe Movement is now - Vuksanović added.
He said that it seems to him that our economy has been reduced to simple borrowing, which will be realized over time under increasingly difficult conditions, and that this is not a sustainable model.
The president of HGI believes that it is a matter of political culture that PES president Milojko Spajić gets the opportunity to form a government, as the holder of the list that won the largest number of votes in the elections.
He pointed out that in the future government there must be room for representatives of parties of less numerous nations, but also for those who declare themselves to be nationally dominant as Montenegrins, who were marginalized in the previous two governments.
Speaking about the position of less numerous peoples in Montenegro, he noted that "there are cities in the north whose local administrations are ethnically uniform" and that this is not a good practice.
When it comes to Mrs. Jonica's statement in which she disputes the right of the HGI list to the mandate won, Vuksanović said that he believes that he can understand such interpretations of the law, but that he has the impression that they are tendentious, deeply illogical and in a certain way discriminatory, because they limit the Croatian people the right to demographic growth and representation in the Parliament of Montenegro, despite the excellent result by which HGI unequivocally - legally, morally and politically - fulfilled the condition for acquiring a mandate.
Vuksanović expressed his satisfaction with the election result and thanked the voters of Croatia and other nationalities and confirmed the messages from the campaign that economically, politically, security and civilizationally, Montenegro naturally gravitates towards Western values and that it belongs "in the West".
