Inappropriate Print of PES official on win and portal analytics

The Institute for Media condemns the threats of the editor of "Victory" Draško Đuranović and the Director of the Analytics Tinki Đuranović, who sent them a member of the PES Andrej Milović and considers that it is inappropriate influence and targeting these two media.

We invite politicians to take responsibility for a publicly spoken word instead of transferring the consequences for non-drying public appearances on the media, whose job is to record them, transfer and put them in the appropriate context. Disagreement with editorial policies to the media, politicians cannot and may not be an occasion of inappropriate influence and pressure on journalists, because such behavior contribute to the realization of the atmosphere in the media, as one of the pillars of democracy.

Freedom of the media is, as they say in IMCG, guaranteed the right that requires all social factors to nurture it, because by collapse that liquid society slides in censorship.

We remind public figures, especially politicians and those in positions of power, that public work implies not only privileges, but primarily responsibility for their actions, and are obliged to suffer a higher degree of citizens, whom they need to serve as an example for tolerant and benevolent public communication. Research on the Institute for Media continues to show an increase in inappropriate public communication, offensive and controversial speech in public space, for which politicians are most responsible - conclude in the statement.
