Intergovernmental conference with Montenegro on December 20

The intergovernmental conference with Montenegro will be held on December 20 in Brussels, Pobjeda learns from a source in the Brussels administration.
On behalf of Montenegro, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić will participate in the Intergovernmental Conference.
President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović said after the EU-Western Balkans Summit that the European Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Varhelji and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen informed him that we will have an intergovernmental conference next week.
This means that after two years we have finally unlocked the acceleration of the European integration process - announced Milatović, assessing that this is "great news for our country".
Of course, the Government will discuss in more detail with the European Commission, present an action plan so that we can start closing chapters from next year - said Milatović and added that in this way, as a country, we will round off a successful year of political changes and consolidation of the political situation in Montenegro. .
The last intergovernmental conference with Montenegro was held in December 2021, but without significant political decisions. Six years have passed since the last negotiating chapter was closed by our country.
Montenegro opened all 33 chapters and temporarily closed three.
