The former Chief Special State Prosecutor Milivoje Katnić testified today before the High Court in Podgorica in the case where he was named by the indictment as one of the targets of Stefan Đukić's group.
As a GST I was targeted by certain structures for the process of attempted terrorism. They were determined to liquidate me several times. I do not join the prosecution and I have nothing against the people who are in the dock. They are involved in all this and they were probably offered some benefits related to serving a prison sentence and so on - said Katnić in front of the court.
Specifying the forces that wanted to liquidate him, he said that it was the Serbian and Russian deep state, as well as the outgoing Prime Minister Dritana Abazović.
The Serbian and Russian deep state and the outgoing Prime Minister Abazović are the inspiration for my liquidation, and the latter, such as the criminal organization of Stefan Đukić and Emil Tuzović, are just plasters stuck to the plans of the previously mentioned - adds Katnić.
He believes that the Serbian and Russian deep state sent a request to Abazović without a detailed explanation to remove him from the post of GST.
And in that part, the interests of the Serbian and Russian deep states and Abazović coincide. I didn't want to be a victim as some media wrote - adds Katnić.
Answering a question from lawyer Damir Lekić, he stated that the criminal organization was formed for the purpose of liquidation and that they collected money from donors, including those who wanted to remove it.
He needed a million euros to abolish us as SDT and to replace us with new prosecutors, who will be influenced by bribes - said Katnić.
When asked by lawyer Nikola Tomković, Katnić confirmed that he had police security and clarified that the purpose of abolishing the SDT was to remain without security.
They believed that on the 18th I would be left without protection, and that on the 20th or 21st they would dig me - added Katnić.
He did not specify the number of people who provided him, stating that this number was sufficient.
He added that when he saw that his liquidation was mentioned in the Sky application, he left the case to his colleague Miroslav Turković.
We knew about the activities of this group, and Europol warned us about it because of Judge Biljana Uskoković. However, Europol did not tell us that they were planning to kill us - Katnić pointed out, explaining that Europol provides partial data.
The court forbade him to answer the question of lawyer Darko Dragović whether the prosecutors who replaced him succumbed to influence and bribery.
Answering the question of lawyer Nikola Martinović, he recalled that he had offered his resignation, but that the SDT and SPO structures he formed at the time should remain.
However, they did not want that because their goal was to eliminate the structures that stood in the way of crime, smuggling, liquidation... I believe that the goal of this criminal organization, like any other, was to collapse the structure that I, as GST, created in SDT and the police, which would facilitate their actions. We cut the blacksmith clan in half. Even before the Sky application, we used and had a collaborative network from which we received data - stressed Katnić.
