Katnić was brought to the SPO for questioning

The former chief special prosecutor Milivoje Katnić was brought to the Special Police Department (SPO) for questioning shortly before 1:00 p.m.
He and former high-ranking police officer Zoran Lazović were arrested early this morning by order of the SDT.
As announced by SDT, they were deprived of their freedom based on mutual cooperation and several months of coordinated action, with the help of EUROPOL.
They add that Lazović and Katnić are suspected of creating a criminal organization and abuse of official position.
On the basis of mutual cooperation and several months of coordinated action of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, the Special Police Department and the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Law Enforcement Bodies - EUROPOL, by order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, the Special Police Department, with the assistance of the Special Purpose Police Sector, deprived M.K. the former chief special prosecutor and Z.L., former assistant director of the Police Administration, due to the grounds of suspicion that they committed the criminal acts of creating a criminal organization and abuse of official position, said Vukas Radonjić, state prosecutor and spokesman.
The suspects will be brought to the special prosecutor for questioning within the legal term.
Their apartments and other premises in Podgorica, Cetinje, Budva and Bijelo Polje are also being searched in order to find traces of the criminal act and items that may be useful for the proceedings, said Radonjić.
