Knežević and Mandić rejected Spajić's new offer

Nor did the new round of negotiations on the distribution of power between representatives of the "Europe Now" Movement and the "For the Future of Montenegro" Coalition, which was held yesterday in the Parliament, produce any results.
PES leader Milojko Spajić, in the presence of the President of Democratic Montenegro, Alekse Bečić, offered that coalition, according to our newspaper's knowledge, a new "package" from the top of ZBCG: one vice-presidential position in the future government for capital investments and the departments of education, sports and youth. and tourism. Spajić previously offered the Ministry of European Integration to Milan Knežević and Andrija Mandić, but in the new offer he did not mention that department, since it was promised to the Croatian citizens' initiative. In addition to the innovative offer, Spajić also offered two vice-presidential positions in the Assembly.
That new offer, however, was absolutely unacceptable for the representatives of the ZBCG Coalition because, according to their interpretation, it goes against the principles offered by Spajić and concern the proportional division of portfolios.
According to our knowledge, Mandić and Knežević demanded the position of President of the Assembly and two portfolios in the future government related to transport and energy, but the PES leader did not agree to this.
DNP leader Milan Knežević confirmed Pobjede's information, but did not mention specific departments.
At the meeting with PES and DCG, we asked for three times less than what is due to us. We were looking for the President of the Assembly and two ministries. We will not agree to humiliation. Leba and port if necessary, but with the people - one of the leaders of ZBGC Milan Knežević told Pobjeda.
After they failed to reach a mutual agreement, the leader of PES, as a source from the top of ZBCG told Pobjeda, offered them to support the government, but not to be part of it, which they consider a humiliating offer in that coalition.
You have yet to qualify to be part of the government - the source quoted the Pobjeda Spajić's words to Mandić and Knežević.
As Pobjeda previously wrote, Spajić designated the position of the head of the Assembly for the president of the Democrats, Aleksa Bečić, who held that position after the change of government on August 30, 2020.
Bečić accepted the offer in principle, but Spajić's plans were complicated by the subsequent entry of the Coalition "For the Future of Montenegro" into formal negotiations on the formation of the government, since the representatives of that coalition also showed interest in the position of President of the Assembly.
Representatives of the Democrats also participated in yesterday's negotiations, which were held in the Assembly.
The new convocation of the Assembly was constituted on Thursday, but the Speaker of the Parliament was not elected.
The non-election of the President of the Assembly further complicated the negotiations on the government, since the Bosniak Party is not satisfied with the distribution, HGI decidedly will not join the parties of the former DF, while CIVIS openly threatened Spajić that the government must have the support of 49 MPs.
Milatović on Monday with Spajić, then with Živković
On Monday, the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, will begin consultations on giving a mandate for the composition of the new government in Cetinje.
As CdM unofficially learns from sources in the parties, the PES, that is, party leader and potential candidate Milojko Spajić, was the first to be invited to the president for consultations.
On the same day, after that, President Milatović planned consultations with the Democratic Party of Socialists. The party will be represented in the consultations by v. d. the president of the party and the holder of the list of the Coalition "Together" Danijel Živković.
According to CdM's knowledge, on Tuesday the president will hold consultations with "For the future of Montenegro", that is, the leaders of that coalition, Andrija Mandić and Milan Knežević. After that, on Tuesday at nine o'clock, the consultations continue with the Democrats and the leader of that party Aleksa Bečić.
