The Montenegrin government proposed that the General Hospitals Kotor and Berane became clinical centers. Dragoslav Šćekić Health Minister said the Government's session that the health system was too centralized, and that the KBC in Podgorica is the only Clinical - hospital center, and that there is a need for health service decentralization.
That is why he suggested that the hospitals Kotor and Berane instead of the general hospital will be clinical centers, which the government accepted.
The General Hospital Kotor will become a clinical center for the south, and the general hospital of Berane will become a Clinical Center for North.
Scekic also said that reorganization would imply the formation of the interest and surgical clinic in these institutions, but also the continuous personnel and spatial strength of these institutions.
