Mašković on the protest of tenants: a disgraceful attitude toward the part of our fellow citizens must stop

The Chief of Club of the SD-LP council in the Majškić Capital Municipality, Miloš Mašković attended today's protest of Podgorica tenants before their meetings with the relevant Secretary Idom Kolinović.

On that occasion, Mašković stated that the support that the new city administration provides to tenants in the capital insufficient.

It is indeed uncomfortable to hear that from the budget of 133m euros for tenancy families or individuals separate only 100 thousand euros. In practice, this means that only 166 families or individuals can use this type of assistance provided by the capital. This, a shameful relationship to the part of our fellow citizens must stop - he said.

In addition, Mašković issued the fact that compared to the previous year amount reduced from the initial 300 thousand euros to only 100 thousand euros.

We need to take into account the galloping inflation and the fact that the price of rent rent in Podgorica increased between 30 and 40 percent in the last year, and that it is for part of our fellow citizens unbearable. In this regard, amendment was operating on the capital budget for 2024, where I requested that funds were planned for the action of redundance and in this way the amount for subtitles subsidies increased 100 percent. However, the City Administration did not hear that, "he emphasized.

Maskovic also problematized that the capital does not have precise data on the number of tenants, which, according to unofficial data, has over 20 thousand only in the capital.
