Maybe we can vote for one judge of the Constitutional Court

The President of Montenegro and the Democratic Party of Socialists, Milo Đukanović, said that there is a possibility that the DPS will vote for the election of one judge of the Constitutional Court, which would make that court functional.
The head of the parliamentary club DPS of Montenegro, Danijel Živković, sent a letter today to the heads of the parliamentary clubs to organize a meeting tomorrow regarding current political events. The election of judges of the Constitutional Court would be discussed in particular.
Đukanović says that this is a responsible and logical move by the DPS, after they requested the postponement of the vote on judges of the Constitutional Court for December 12.
He reminded that the primary offer of the DPS was to return the election of judges of the Constitutional Court to the beginning and to elect four judges of the Constitutional Court in the new round.
"There was no readiness on the other side. If there is no readiness for that, if there is a readiness to discuss other issues, to determine the date for early parliamentary elections and to abandon the adoption of unconstitutional laws, then we are also ready to discuss the correction of our position when it comes to technology for filling the Constitutional court. Perhaps at this moment we can vote for the election of one judge of the Constitutional Court, which makes the Constitutional Court functional, so we leave the opportunity for a joint list to be reached in the subsequent procedure for, in that case, three more judges of the Constitutional Court", Đukanović told reporters in Tirani, after the EU Summit - Western Balkans.
Extraordinary parliamentary elections to be held before regular presidential elections
Đukanović also said that the DPS wants to discuss the date for holding early parliamentary elections, whether it is possible to stop the adoption of the Law on the President, which, according to him, attacks the constitutional order and, in this context, the need to elect a judge of the Constitutional Court.
He reminded that we can expect presidential elections in March or April next year.
"What we want before that is to hold early parliamentary elections in order for the country to get out of the state of institutional blockade and from these dangers that hover when it comes to the economy and for Montenegro to get a responsible government that will lead Montenegro towards the EU", he concluded. Đukanović.
Đukanović also said that a good Summit was held in Tirana with a never-before-unique message that the countries of the Western Balkans have a clear perspective of EU membership.
