The newly elected president Jakov Milatović said after the meeting with the outgoing president Milo Đukanović that they had held the first of two planned meetings regarding the handover of the presidential duties.
The first of the two scheduled meetings concerning the handover of the presidential office has been completed. We had a long meeting that lasted almost three hours, and next week we will have another one. In this way, we will demonstrate the democratic handover of power in a civilized manner - Milatović told reporters shortly after leaving the President's building.
