MONSTAT: Average earnings in December 814 euros

The average salary without taxes and contributions in December, according to MONSTAT, amounted to 814 euros and was 0.9 percent higher than November.

The average net salary in December, compared to the same month in 2022, increased by 12 percent.

The average gross salary in December was 1.02 thousand euros.

If there is in mind that the consumer prices in December increased by a decrease of 0.5 percent, it follows that realms for the same period recorded an increase of 1.4 percent.

At the level of last year, the average gross salary amounted to 987 euros, and the average net 792 euros.

If there are consumer prices in the last year compared to 2022, the growth of 8.6 percent, it follows that realms for the same period increased by 2.4 percent.

In December, average sales of taxes and contributions in December recorded growth in sectors of other service activities 2.9 percent, civil engineering and defense: compulsory social security 2.1 percent, agriculture, forestry and fisheries Two percent, accommodation and food services 1.6 percent, traffic and storage 1.3 percent, professional, scientific and technical activities one percent, informing and communicating and artistic, entertainment and recreational activities per 0.9 percent.

Growth was also recorded in health and social protection 0.8 percent, water and education supply per 0.7 percent, wholesale and retail trade; Repairs of motor vehicles and motorcycles and financial and insurance activities per 0.6 percent, real estate business 0.4 percent and processing industry 0.2 percent.

The decline in average sales without taxes and contributions in December, compared to the previous month was recorded in sectors of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning 3.6 percent and extraction of ores and stones 0.9 percent.
