AUTHOR: M.J.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg published a report on allocations for the defense of member countries, in anticipation of the anniversary NATO Summit, which will be held in Washington from July 9 to 11.

In this report, it is stated that all allies have recorded a trend of defense budget growth, and that according to projections for the year 2024, 23 allies will exceed two percent of GDP in defense allocations.

Among those allies, with a planned allocation for the defense budget of 2.02 percent of GDP, is Montenegro, which, as the Ministry of Defense says, represents "the best and clearest confirmation of the 44th Government's commitment to the credible membership of our country in the Alliance."

- Bearing in mind the current security challenges on the global level, which, among other things, resulted in the largest military transformation of the NATO alliance since the time of the Cold War, Montenegro clearly demonstrated collective responsibility, commitment to common values and once again confirmed the credibility of the alliance in the North Atlantic Alliance - it was announced from Ministry of Defense.
