Montenegro Third in the region at the amount of the salary, Slovenia first

Slovenia is leading with the net average salary in the amount of 1,477.34 in the amount, while the average gross salary amounted to 2,317.82 euros. These data represent a decline compared to December last year, but compared to January 2023, the salaries have risen. The IT sector continues to grow, and the average net salary in this industry is between 1,800 and 2,200 euros. Wages in health care range between 1,200 and 1,500 euros net, and in the education of 1,000 to 1,300 euros. The average salary in tourism and catering is 900 to 1,100 euros.

Croatia, as another EU member state from the former Yugoslavia, is at the second place at the amount of the average salary of 1,239 euros net, ie 1,695 euros gross. The highest salaries were recorded in the airline sector, while the lowest salaries in the industry of clothing production, the reports are regulated by UNIDET Europe.

As in Slovenia, the largest salaries in Croatia have employees in the IT sector, about 1,800 euros net on average. The average salary in production is around 1,100 euros per month, in health and education of 1,000 to 2,000 euros net, and in agriculture about 900 euros. The average salaries in tourism and catering are about 1,000 euros.

Montenegro continued in 2023 to strengthen its economy by trying to accelerate the development of key sectors and attract foreign investment. The average net earnings in Montenegro reached 819 euros, while the gross monthly salary is 1.024 euros. Compared to December last year, the average net increased, and compared to January 2023, significant growth was recorded.

Tourism and catering, as one of the leading sectors of the Montenegrin economy, offer an average net monthly earnings of about 800 euros during the summer season. The IT sector in Montenegro offers salaries of about 1,000 euros, while salaries in health and education are around 600 to 700 euros per month. The salaries in the agricultural sector range around 500 euros, and in construction 700 euros.

In 2023, Bosnia and Herzegovina continued with economic recovery and development effort, facing the challenges and opportunities on the path to improving the standard of living. The average net salary in BiH in January this year reached 679 euros, and gross 1,051 euros. Compared to January last year, the average salaries have risen.

With growing demand for digital technologies, the IT sector in BiH shows rapid development. The average monthly salary in this area is around 1,500 euros net. In traditionally strong processing industry, the average salaries are around 900 euros per month, and in the construction sector that is around 1,000 euros.

North Macedonia is located in the last place with an average monthly net salary of 643 euros, while gross salary was 960 euros. In Northern Macedonia, the best salaries are in the IT sector, from 800 to 1,000 euros net. At the same time, average salaries in agriculture are from 300 to 400 euros, and in education and health from 400 to 500 euros.

When it comes to EU countries, the average salaries are mostly in Denmark, and the lowest in Bulgaria. According to the data of the LPG from Bulgaria, the average gross monthly salary in Sofia is around 1,400 euros, which results in a net earnings of around 1,000 euros. In the rest of Bulgarian gross salary, about 1,000 euros.

The average monthly net earnings in Denmark is 4,149 euros, while gross salary is 6,093 euros. These figures reflect a high level of economic development and living standards in Denmark. Net salaries in IT industry are around 5,000 euros, and in the health sector around 4,500 euros and in education around 4,000 euros.
