Nedović repeated the words of Čarapić: Shame on you; Abdić: I don't give a damn about pride and dignity

AUTHOR: M.J.
At the beginning of today's session, Member of Parliament for the Europe Now Movement, Jelena Nedović, called on the representatives of the Democratic Party of Socialists to apologize to them for yesterday's events at the Assembly session.

We remind you that yesterday's session of the Assembly was interrupted after a verbal conflict between PES deputy Vasilij Čarapić and Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Nermin Abdić. After Čarapić told the DPS MPs: "Shame on you", Abdić reacted from the caucus and the discussion started, which, after the Vice-President of the Assembly Zdenka Popović took a break, continued in the assembly hall. It was unofficially told to Pobjeda that at first the member of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) Milun Zogović tried to prevent their "boning", and then security, which prevented a physical conflict.

- I can't understand that the sentence "Shame on you" is the trigger to get up from the benches and attack us. We send the wrong image to citizens and children who watch us, especially in the context of peer violence, which we have a problem with. Yesterday, we heard a hundred times: "Lies, liars, liars", so nobody got up from these benches and rushed to beat, curse and insult someone. The fact that colleague Vasilije Čarapić said "Shame on you", I don't know what is offensive about it. Here I repeat - shame on you, we haven't heard from you for half a year that you have presented anything constructive, but every session starts with a procedure. But that speaks about you, not about us - pointed out Nedović.

DPS deputy Nermin Abdić replied that he would not allow the pride and dignity of DPS deputies to be attacked.

- Out of the respect and piety I have for people of the fairer sex, I will have respect in how I react. Maybe what you said is not an insult to you, but it is to those who hold on to their pride and dignity. You have said something here that I would not like the citizens to misunderstand. No one here is cursed or insulted for any reason, but you have to accept that there is a human emotion in people for something when that word is said. I've said publicly here that I'm not ashamed of my roots, but you have to accept the fact that in the regions where I come from and how I understand this word is offensive. I will not allow my pride and dignity, anyone from this Parliamentary Club, - stressed Abdić.
