The confusion in the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) is at its peak. In one statement they claim that they acted on their orders, while in the other they claim that they had nothing to do with it, said the spokesman of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Miloš Nikolić, commenting on today's events surrounding the arrest of the director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK), Jelena Perović.
In every delicate situation, prosecutor Novović shifts the responsibility to others - once it was Predrag Šuković, and now VDT Marković, whose only reference for this position is the fact that he is Novović's best friend and who was appointed solely so that Novović would have absolute power without any responsibility and control mechanisms - said Nikolić in a post on the X network.
Nikolić points out that it is understandable that Novović distances himself from the case that his prosecution formed, because, as he says, it is difficult to explain how the mileage on an official vehicle has a higher priority than embezzled millions, destroyed state enterprises, 30,000 new employees or the purchase of Kalashnikovs for election day 30 . in August.
The SDT announced today that the supreme state prosecutor will act in the case against Perović.
In order to truthfully inform the interested public, and regarding media reports and statements of other social actors, we inform you that the chief special prosecutor has not acted in any sense, nor will he act in the case formed against J.P., the director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, and for the reason that, after the creation of the case, at his request, the supreme state prosecutor assumed that he immediately exercises all powers and undertakes all actions for which the chief special prosecutor is authorized by law, all in accordance with Article 133 of the Law on the State Prosecutor's Office - it was stated in the announcement of the SDT.
