Nothing from the dismissal: Mandić remains at the head of the parliament

AUTHOR: M.J.
The initiative of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) to dismiss the Speaker of the Assembly Andrija Mandić did not receive the necessary support from the deputies.
72 MPs voted by secret ballot, and there were 71 valid ballots. 27 MPs voted for the dismissal, 44 voted against.
URA MPs Dritan Abazović and Miloš Konatar left the assembly hall before the vote.
The DPS demanded the dismissal of Mandić, stating that he is not worthy to perform that function. DPS claims that since the beginning of Mandić's mandate, the Assembly has been grossly abused for party, nationalist and anti-European interests".
The unconstitutional congratulation on the occasion of Republika Srpska Day and the organization of the visit of the declared genocide denier in Srebrenica (Milorada Dodik) classify him as a policy that destroys the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina - said DPS deputy Andrija Nikolić after submitting the initiative.
The Europe now movement initially rejected the proposal of the opposition DPS, stating that the former leader of that party, Milo Đukanović, also met with Dodik, and that the initiators of the initiative want to cause instability.
On Saturday, that party requested that this item be removed from the agenda, but today the head of the PES Parliamentary Club withdrew that proposal.
Čarapić said that he expects everyone to have a meaningful discussion, rhetoric worthy of parliament and to lower tensions.
