Ombudsman recommended Abazović not to discriminate against Petar Lazović and "Razvršje"

The protector of human rights and freedoms in Montenegro, through two recommendations sent to the Prime Minister in his technical mandate, Dritan Abazović, determined that the Prime Minister discriminates against citizens and businesses.

After the completion of the examination procedure based on the complaint d.o.o. "Razvršje" Podgorica and Petar Lazović, represented by lawyer Nikola Martinović, the Ombudsman recommended Abazović to refrain from making statements that violate the presumption of innocence and discriminate against the company.

In relation to the first applicant, Petr Lazović, to refrain from statements and qualifications that implicitly or explicitly declare the defendant guilty until the end of the proceedings in accordance with the law and thereby not violate the presumption of innocence of the defendant, and at the same time not undertake activities that may harm the fairness of the proceedings as a whole - stated in one of the two recommendations of the Ombudsman.

In relation to the second applicant, Company "Razvršje", d.o.o. Podgorica to stop making statements that announce the intention to discriminate against the company and to apply measures against it due to the legal act of giving a guarantee and thus avoid damage that would occur in a situation where unequal treatment does not have sufficient and reasonable justification in accordance with the law - the Ombudsman points out in another recommendations.

According to attorney Martinović for Antenu M, this is the first time in history that it has been established that the prime minister of a country is discriminating against citizens and businesses.

He is now the only prime minister in Europe who has proof that he is a discriminator who violates the presumption of innocence - states Martinović.
