On June 11, Montenegro must come back to itself and move forward

We owe Nikšić the preservation of our national dignity. They failed to humiliate us here. The backbone of statehood was preserved in the local elections held in March 2021 when you strongly resisted the unprecedented pressure of nationalism. No battle for Nikšić, millions invested, all promises, misuse of resources, did not break the strength of steel of our loyal comrades who, not only in 2021, but also in all previous years, provided a great contribution to all the victories of our policies. Stronger and bigger ones have not succeeded over the centuries, so neither have those who imagined to tarnish the holy name of Montenegro, said Danijel Živković, holder of the list "Together! For the future that belongs to you" from last night's convention in Nikšić.
He said that the modern imperialists did not count on Ljub Čupić's defiant smile when they thought that with local contractors they would be able to settle accounts with Montenegro in the shortest possible time.
They were just stopped in Nikšić. The magnitude of that result turned out to be sublime because if we had failed to stop that nationalism here then, we would not have today June 11 as a chance to take Montenegro back to us. With your presence at the Belvedere and Bogetići and at the "Ima nas" protests and wherever necessary, you provided that chance. Let's not miss it. We got this chance through hard work, thanks to the skillful policy of President Đukanović, who led Montenegro on the right path for three decades. Let's not let them destroy our dream and the work of our hands. The chance is unique, we must use it - concluded Živković.
The candidate for deputy, Dr. Jevto Eraković, pointed out to the audience that three years ago, the majority in Montenegro thought and voted against it, and that there was no development in the last three years.
For the past three years, we have been living a big lie, that it is enough to be against it in order to get better, to move forward. We choose an honorable and persistent, knowledge-based fight for a better Montenegro. That's why, together like five fingers on a hand, let's ensure four stable years and end this three-year agony, to ensure the two pillars of our society, civil and multi-ethnic harmony, for one single Montenegro - said Eraković.
Parliamentary candidate Nikola Zirojević asked what Nikšić is today, which always had a special soul that did not leave indifferent anyone who once set foot on Nikšić's corso or smelled the scent of Nikšić's linden trees.
Do you feel the good spirit of Nikšić when you pass through the corse? What kind of Nikšić is it that does not celebrate Montenegro? What kind of Nikšić is it where young people don't wear and don't pass on Ljub Čupić's smile? What kind of Nikšić is it, in which someone dared to urinate on a national hero, on our pride, in front of the eyes of passers-by? We don't want that kind of Nikšić, that kind of Nikšić is not our Nikšić and we will never allow them to make Nikšić what they intended - said Zirojević.
Jelena Marković, a candidate for parliament, addressed those present at the forum.
The defense of the Montenegrin, multi-ethnic, multicultural, anti-fascist, secular society is our moral obligation - she emphasized.
The candidate for MP, Slobodanka Boba Roganović, said that the political competition is so intensively engaged in the coalition DPS - SD - LP - DUA, that they would crush everything that was created and renewed, and that they also hit the foundations, as she judged, of our only mothers. and mothers and homelands.
That's why tonight, from this hall, let's send them thousands of Ljub's smiles, thousands of Joka's defiant looks, thousands of defended flags from Vuči dol and Grahovac, thousands of memories of a May dawn from 2006, Belvedere night and July 13 in Nikšić. But let's also send them a message that on Sunday evening they will have thousands and thousands of slips to count with the rounded number 10 - said Roganović.
At last night's convention, candidate for deputy Mehmed Zenka addressed the crowd and pointed out the basic differences between the list to which he belongs and his political competitors.
When did you hear us insulting each other? Have you heard any bad word that we directed to each other except for positive and well-intentioned criticism. Unlike them, we promise prosperity and a better future for our children and for our Montenegro - concluded Zenka.
Milo Đukanović, the longtime president of the DPS of Montenegro, also attended the convention in Nikšić.
