The tax inspectors charged over 700 thousand EUR of fines from May 1 to August 4th, the Tax Administration (PU) was announced.
During the summer season, PU operation sector increased the activities of monitoring the regularity of the operations of taxpayers who seasonally performing activities, with a special focus on catering and trade.
"In the period on May 1 to August 4, tax inspectors performed 2.32 thousand verification of taxpayers operations and identified irregularities in 322 taxpayers," said in a statement.
On this basis, 437 misdemeanor orders were issued, with a total of fines imposed in the amount of EUR 1.46 million.
Debit on the basis of fines imposed amounts to EUR 852.79 thousand, of which EUR 700.09 thousand, or 82 percent were collected.
"Payment on the basis of fines refers to taxpayers who accepted misdemeanor responsibility and paid sentenced fines within 8 days, 249", they specified PU.
In the reporting period, in 17 taxpayers, the measure of the temporary prohibition of performing activities was imposed.
The identified irregularities relate to the non-driven turnover of goods and services in the Law prescribed manner in the amount in the amount that exceeds the amount of cash register, the notification of employees and performing activities without general tax registration.
PU, according to its representatives, continuously monitors the regularity of the business of taxpayers, both the controls of comprehensive bookkeeping and the checks of certain segments of their business.
"For all bonds of which irregular operations, tax inspectors apply prescribed criminal precautions, from the imposition of misdemeanor orders to the temporary prohibition of performing activities and closing facilities", concluded in the statement.
